When I clicked, it would only hold down momentarily. Little did I know the bug was far stranger. I was, in software looking at an adjacent pin. It made me believe all was well because it was capacitively coupled to the right pin, when in fact the design was completely wrong. The fix was as simple as changing the pin in firmware.
