<description>For the first time, based on archival documents, original investigation records, and previously unpublished materials, we tell the complete story of one of the most tragic and lesser-known radiological accidents in history — the Kramatorsk Radiological Accident. Between 1981 and 1989, several families living in apartment 85 of an ordinary housing block in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, suffered mysterious illnesses and deaths. The cause was a lost Cesium-137 capsule, accidentally sealed inside a concrete wall during construction. This episode reveals how the capsule was discovered, how the investigation unfolded, and how scientists reconstructed exposure levels — step by step, detailed and verified. This story is a reminder of how invisible dangers can hide in the most ordinary places — and how courage, science, and persistence brought the truth to light. 00:00 Intro 00:28 Story of Druzhyna family 02:26 Story of Korzh Family 05:28 Discovery of the source 08:26 Immediate response 09:51 Extraction of the capsule 12:07 A monumental job of three radiologists 14:32 Origins of the capsule found 16:34 Legacy 18:38 Outro Selected sources: "ЧП в доме №7", "Краматорская правда" newspaper, 07 December 1989, Б.
