<description>Per the request of our viewers and supporters, we decided to share some selected modern pictures of the Chernobyl Zone in this new episode. I came to Chernobyl in 2009, first visiting very often, and since the beginning of 2015, I have worked there as a researcher and a guide. Michaela joined in 2011. Eventually, we even relocated to the border of the Zone. During all those years, we made more than a thousand visits to analyze and rebuild the history of this unique area, talk with witnesses of 1986 events, learn from the experts, and... find a way to ourselves. There were periods of life when we spent so much time in a row inside the Chernobyl Zone that we were unsure whether we passed the checkpoint to exit the Zone or enter the Great Land in front of it. That all gave us a lot to think about. But besides, we understood that only this place has a unique beauty that calls us back – to our second home. So this is a little story for you, close and personal. Feel free to ask questions about the Zone, daily life there, history, etc...! You can find a lot of unique Chernobyl insights and archive materials on our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/thechernobylfamily.
