        <description>We needed some very low latency sound output.  ALSA, Jack, etc... they couldn't do it.  Our solution was to make an AVR USB sound card.  It uses control messages.  So, we know exactly how much latency there is. Additionally, we don't need to be realtime or use any other special extensions to get our period to 16, and a maximum buffer of 128.    Correction from video, it was actually 2.73 kHz, not 273 Hz.
