Exploring Chernobyl's Strangest Building

There is a place in the Chornobyl Zone that feels like real-world Backrooms. It was just a regular school in Pripyat. But the building itself was experimental: three square blocks with inner courtyards, connected only at the corners. From above, it looks simple. Inside, it is not. Some floors do not match. Doors look identical. Corridors repeat. Windows show the outside, but the way out is somewhere else. And the deeper you go, the more the building seems to loop you back. On my first visit here in 2009, I got lost for a good 20 minutes. Later, of course, I learned how to navigate it. But when the Backrooms story appeared years later, I had a strange feeling: I had already seen a similar place. After all, it is just a regular Soviet school. Or maybe not. This is a short experimental video from Pripyat’s School No. 3, edited in a VHS style with based on our raw footage from inside one of the strangest buildings in the abandoned city. #Chernobyl #Chornobyl #ChernobylDisaster Your support helps our research: https://www.patreon.com/c/thechernobylfamily https://buymeacoffee.com/chernobylfamily
